Description
Fruit Crisp is a wonderful one-dish meal, or if you add more sweetener to it, it makes a special dessert. This recipe is the crumble topping for the crisp. You can choose your own fruit filling to go inside it.
Ingredients
3 c
old fashioned oats or quick oats (not instant oatmeal) 1⁄2 c
chopped walnuts (opt. ) 1⁄2 c
coconut flour (OR almond flour OR whole wheat flour) 1 t
salt 1 t
coriander, opt. 1 t
vanilla flavor 1 c
apple juiceNotes
This makes enough topping to cover a 3-quart casserole dish of fruit crisp. Using almond flour or coconut flour adds a natural oil to the recipe, which makes the texture more crumbly and tastes SO good! Coconut flour is also gluten free, so if you use gluten-free oats, you have a gluten-free topping.
Instructions
MIX all but juice together in a bowl.
ADD the juice last for a nice crumbly feeling.
COMBINE well and sprinkle on top of fruit crisp.
BAKE at 350F for 20 minutes or until golden on top.
WATCH carefully--it may boil over.
