Ingredients

  • 12 oz cranberries ~one bag
  • 20 oz crushed pineapple ~one can
  • 1 pinch salt optional
  • 1/4 tsp orange zest optional

Instructions

  1. COMBINE all ingredients into a kettle.
  2. BRING to boil.
  3. SIMMER on medium-low for 10 minutes or until cranberries have burst open.

  4. MASH with potato masher.
  5. SERVE warm or chill.
  6. THICKENS as it cools.

Recipe Notes

You can experiment with fresh diced apple and a few tablespoons of water, instead of the pineapple. If this recipe isn’t sweet enough for you, add a tablespoon of sweetener to taste.
